Overview
"Banyo Bahorrors" was a brand campaign created to launch Ambi Pur Bathroom Fresh in the Philippines. The campaign aimed to show that Ambi Pur is the best choice for eliminating unpleasant odors commonly found in household bathrooms, such as smells from towels, toilet covers, and shower curtains. Using a playful, horror-inspired concept, the campaign illustrated how these everyday malodors can feel like a nightmare and how Ambi Pur brings lasting freshness to any bathroom.

Creative Direction
I was involved in all phases of this campaign, from initial brainstorming to pre-production, production, and post-production. Since the launch took place in October, we developed a horror-themed concept to align with the Halloween season. The campaign title Banyo Bahorrors was a playful twist on the Tagalog word baho (meaning ‘smelly’), combined with ‘horrors’ to emphasize how unpleasant bathroom odors can feel overwhelming and disruptive. We produced a one-minute hero video and designed two versions of the thumbnail. The first used a clickbait-style visual to attract initial attention, while the second focused on clearly communicating product benefits. This dual approach allowed us to engage curiosity-driven viewers while also appealing to audiences looking for a practical solution to bathroom odors.
Takeaways
This was my first time working on a video ad that involved visual effects, and it was a valuable learning experience. I learned the importance of planning for VFX during the shoot, especially ensuring there is enough space and proper framing for animations to be seamlessly added in postproduction. The project also emphasized how critical timing and coordination are between the creative and production teams, as VFX-heavy edits can be particularly complex and time-consuming. Efficiency and attention to detail were essential in helping us meet the material’s release deadline.
